A social mobility charity helping young people to develop the skills, behaviors, and attitudes needed to succeed in the careers of their choosing.
Grant Amount: £40,000
United Kingdom
Making the Leap are on a mission to transform the futures of disadvantaged young people in the UK by providing training to raise their aspirations and develop their skills, behaviours and attitudes to choose and succeed in a career.
Through their ACE (Aspirations, Careers and Employability) Programme, they support unemployed young people who are full of potential but due to their backgrounds lack direction, self-belief and access to employment opportunities.
This funding will contribute towards the ongoing running costs of Making the Leap's ACE programme.
The programme transforms the lives of unemployed young people aged 18 to 25 from socio-economically disadvantaged and BAME backgrounds across London by raising their aspirations, developing their soft skills, increasing their access to opportunities and helping them to secure and sustain meaningful employment.
This grant will contribute towards helping an extra 30 young people from disadvantaged backgrounds through the programme.
