How to connect, recognise and support employees during times of uncertainty: Navigating the coronavirus for HR leaders
We’re committed to building a diverse workforce and creating an inclusive environment at Reward Gateway. We believe there are three key reasons why diversity and inclusion is key for our success:
1. Fundamentally we believe that creativity and innovation comes from diverse teams with varied backgrounds who constantly challenge each other and what they see.
2. We’re in a competitive business and we can’t afford to have false barriers between us and the very best talent that can help our clients and our business.
3. Our user base is highly diverse. If we are diverse ourselves, we’ll understand, empathise and serve them better.
Our Diversity & Inclusivity Standard was written with the input and collaboration of the whole Reward Gateway team – all 400+ people.
Reward Gateway has had a Diversity policy for many years. But like many HR policies, it was reasonably hidden and rarely referenced. In January 2016, the Leadership Team began drafting a new Diversity and Inclusivity statement that would more accurately reflect the culture at Reward Gateway and the aspiration of the business. This was well under way when the project got an unexpected, but very much welcome, input from our staff.
At our April all-staff conference, Founder & CEO Glenn was interviewed and was asked probing questions from our staff that he had never seen before. One, in particular, kicked off the diversity page you're now reading – "What is your opinion of the number of women represented in leadership roles in RG and has there been any consideration given to this in our expansion plans?"Watch the Video
