Founder and MD of Asperity Employee Benefits, Glenn Elliott.

Founder and MD of Asperity Employee Benefits, Glenn Elliott, has been named Entrepreneur of the Year for London and the South East region at the Chamber Awards 2010, it was announced last night.

The award comes just several months after Glenn scooped the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award for the London & South region back in June this year.

Having founded Asperity in 2006, Glenn built a successful, debt-free and profitable business turning over £29m a year within just three years.

Asperity is well-known in the employee benefits industry as a market-leader and prides itself on its consistently innovative approach to benefits. The solutions provider helps companies lower payroll costs by providing an employee benefits scheme that costs less than the value it offers to employees. Using employee discounts and tax efficient benefits Asperity can add £1000+ to disposable income for a cost of just a few pounds per head.

With well over £100 million of retail spend flowing through the platform annually, Asperity runs the largest closed user group in the UK and commands the biggest buying power.

Having won a regional award, Glenn is now in the running for the national award in the same category, as well as the chance to collect the Award for Outstanding Business Achievement - with a top prize of £25,000.

The national winners will be announced at London's Hurlingham Club on 25th November 2010.
