Reward Gateway is the new name for Asperity Employee Benefits

A&N Media Group, which includes Associated Newspapers, Northcliffe Media and AND, added wow factor to its new employee benefits scheme launch this month by offering registrants the chance to win an Apple iPad before most people in UK could get their hands on one.

The new benefits scheme, called A&N Rewards, was rolled out to 6600 employees at Associated News on 4th May. Pre-launch communications included worksite posters, teaser emails and informative flyers featuring the competition to attract employees to the benefits site. Employees were required to register to the benefits scheme in order to enter the iPad competition.

Based on Asperity's award-winning Reward Gateway integrated benefits platform, A&N Rewards features employee discounts at over 1700 online, high street and local retailers. Employees can make savings on their everyday shopping various ways using the scheme, including Cashback on online purchases, discounted vouchers and reloadable gift cards, discount codes and employee purchase plans. Savings can be anything from 2% Cashback on eBay to 40% off at Sharp, or 5% in-store discount at Sainsburys and ASDA.

Louise Winstanley, HR Manager at A&N Media Group, said: "There was a real buzz in the company about our new rewards scheme because of the iPad competition - it really got interest levels up ready for scheme launch. It's great to see such engagement from employees so early on."

George Farrow, Client Services Director at Asperity, added: "We are thrilled to be working with such a dynamic media organisation and we felt a competition like this was fitting in that respect. Not least because with Cashback and discounts on virtually anything that A&N Media employees really want or need, there can save considerable amounts of money. Asperity prides itself on providing employee-focused communications packages, and we are really pleased with the positive results of our bespoke communications for A&N Rewards so far."
