We’re delighted to announce that Reward Gateway has been named as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces for Women 2018 by Great Place to Work. This is the first year of the accolade and we are thrilled to be in it alongside such a high calibre of businesses.

This recognition highlights Reward Gateway’s work in fostering a supportive environment where gender is irrespective.

At Reward Gateway, one of our eight core values, ‘Be Human’, means that we understand that every colleague has their own hopes, fears, likes, and dislikes. We understand that everyone has a career and personal life to juggle, and we empathise with each person’s needs to be happy and successful. With this value in mind, we’ve introduced a variety of new policies, activities, and initiatives over the years from flexible working to a full year paid parental leave.

We’ve worked hard to create a workplace that is diverse and inclusive and celebrates the women in our company. We have an even gender split and we volunteer our information in diversity reports. Last year, we joined the Day Without A Woman initiative to show our solidarity to all women across the globe.

All our efforts are not only reflected in the recognition from Great Place to Work, but also, in the results of our annual opt-in diversity survey. The survey found that:

  • At least one third of our senior manager and leadership positions are held by women
  • There is almost a 50% split between managers, with 48% female and 52% male
  • Overall, we have an equal gender split with 49% female, 49% male, and 2% who do not wish to say or prefer to self describe

Robert Hicks, Group HR Director at Reward Gateway says: “Diversity is important to us for several key reasons: it’s right, it supports our mission of making the world a better place to work and it’s a fundamental strategic value driver for the business. Diverse teams have different voices, perspectives and experiences and a diverse workforce helps individuals to achieve both personal and professional growth by helping us to understand more, respond to our customers and strengthen our decision making.

“We are proud of our culture at Reward Gateway and being named as one of the Best Workplaces for Women is an award that we’re thrilled to be given. We have processes in place to ensure our recruiting and employment practises are inclusive of age, gender, race or any other category and we will strive to continue to be a Best Workplace for Women for many years to come.”
