The Challenge

As Australia’s largest personal injury claims service provider, EML has been helping people recover from illness and injury for more than a century. With a workforce of over 3,500 claims management professionals, the organisation’s mission is built on care, empathy and connection.

Internally, EML wanted to mirror that same sense of care for its own people. Providing meaningful support, appreciation, and wellbeing resources across a busy, geographically dispersed workforce.

The challenge was creating a central, accessible hub where employees could:

  • Be recognised for living the organisation’s signature behaviours, The EML Way

  • Access wellbeing tools and employee discounts in one place

  • Celebrate success and share appreciation, no matter where they worked

The solution EML RewardsHub Platform

EML partnered with Reward Gateway | Edenred to build a single destination for recognition, reward and wellbeing, connecting all employees through one accessible platform and app.

The program empowers employees to recognise and celebrate one another through peer-to-peer recognition, public appreciation feeds and reward opportunities.

“Having a one-stop shop for wellbeing, reward and recognition is a game changer,” says Letizia Fusina, General Manager of People. “It creates accessibility and makes things easier for our people and that’s a really important enabler to drive recognition within our organisation.”

The platform also helps employees manage cost-of-living pressures through everyday savings and larger purchases making financial wellbeing support practical and tangible.

The Impact

  • 93% of employees are active on the platform

  • More than $130,000 saved in the last 12 months

  • Nearly 30,000 recognition moments shared

EML has also been recognised as a Great Place to Work three years in a row, a reflection of its ongoing commitment to building a supportive, high-performing culture.

“We know that reward and recognition drives engagement, performance and retention,” says Letizia.
“Our people genuinely feel appreciated for the work they do every day and that’s what makes the difference.”
