Offering Supports Financial Wellbeing and a Growing Demand for Affordable Electric Vehicles

Reward Gateway, the leading global employee engagement company, has partnered with vehicle leasing company Tusker to offer a salary sacrifice car scheme to their clients’ employees. The scheme lets employees offset some of their salary in return for a brand new, fully-maintained and insured car, including hybrids and electric vehicles.

The unique two-way integration between Reward Gateway and Tusker allows employees to seamlessly access Tusker through the Reward Gateway platform. From there they can select and configure the car they want based on their affordability profile. Following approval, all costs are detailed and shown on each employee’s personalised Reward Gateway benefits hub.

The addition of Tusker to Reward Gateway’s suite of employee benefits coincides with the UK government’s decision to ban the sale of new cars that run only on fossil fuels by 2030. The recent introduction of benefit-in-kind (BIK) tax rates, which include a 0% rate for battery electric vehicles (BEVs), has helped make salary sacrifice ideal for drivers who want electric cars. Employers will benefit, too, due to National Insurance savings now available for electric vehicles.

Rob Boland, COO at Reward Gateway, comments:

“HR leaders are looking for ways to support their employees without adding complexity or more work for their teams or their employees. Our employee-first platform seamlessly integrates with Tusker’s platform, reducing administration time and ensuring employees have one place to go for benefits. Each client can showcase the Tusker offering on their customised, branded hub and use our employee communications technology to drive increased awareness and adoption.”

“We are excited about partnering with Reward Gateway and working together to continue to promote our green car scheme helping employers support their staff, especially during these turbulent times. The technology behind the Reward Gateway platform means we can deliver an incredibly intuitive employee car benefit experience which will continue to help employers support their corporate social responsibility initiatives by making electric vehicles more affordable for employees.” said Paul Gilshan, CEO of Tusker.
