Glasgow Housing Association, has enjoyed a successful launch of its new voluntary benefits scheme.

Britain’s largest social landlord, Glasgow Housing Association, has enjoyed a successful launch of its new voluntary benefits scheme, provided by Asperity Employee Benefits.

Following a detailed tender process, GHA appointed Asperity on the basis of a 20% engagement target in the contract’s first year. This target was exceeded within one week of its launch, and engagement continued to rise to 45% takeup in less than a month thanks to Asperity’s tried and tested employee communications package.

The scheme, called GHA Reward, was rolled out to more than 2000 employees in October. Based on Asperity’s award-winning Reward Gateway web platform, the scheme offers employees more than 1500 discounts at well-known retailers such as Debenhams, Vodafone and Sainsbury’s, as well as at local independent stores. Savings can be made online, over the phone and in-store.

Fiona McLean, Glasgow Gold Manager for GHA, said: “We are delighted at the response we’ve had from employees in this initial launch period. We gave Asperity a target of 20% engagement within the first month, and we are extremely happy this target was easily exceeded within one week. With the Christmas season quickly approaching, GHA Reward offers some fantastic money-saving opportunities which GHA employees really appreciate.”

Asperity’s Nathan Maycock, Account Manager, added: “We’re really happy to be working with GHA on its voluntary benefits scheme, and even more so at the fantastic response we’ve had from employees. Eye-catching communications are key to a successful launch, as well as taking the time to demonstrate the scheme - either in person at a roadshow or over the phone via the dedicated helpdesk.”
