COO Doug Butler appointed as CEO of the employee engagement company, as Founder Glenn Elliott focuses on making the world a better place to work.

6th September, London -- After eleven years as CEO, Glenn Elliott will be handing the CEO title to Doug Butler, former COO, who will now oversee all of the company’s operations and clients in 23 countries.

Butler brings 26 years of leadership experience with renowned technology companies to the CEO role and has served as Reward Gateway COO for the last 18 months. As the new leader of the company, Butler will steer the next phase of growth, supporting customers and investing in product innovation.

In the new Founder role, Elliott will continue with the company full-time with a focus on representing Reward Gateway externally and championing the company's mission. Elliott will also work on The RG Foundation, the US$5m charitable fund established earlier in the year and the promotion of the new book Build It: The Rebel Playbook for World-Class Employee Engagement due to be published by Wiley in February 2018.

Doug Butler, says:

“As a CFO through most of my career, I suspected that joining Reward Gateway was going to change me more than I would change Reward Gateway, and this has proven to be true. I have grown in a number of ways since I joined the company, and with Glenn as a guide I’m looking forward to continuing that path and to leading an exceptionally talented team of people who are dedicated to our customers and our mission.

“I’ve loved getting to know the business over the past 18 months and I’m truly excited by the opportunity we have ahead of us as we expand into the US and expand our product set in the UK and Australia”.

Glenn Elliott, said:

“Everyone at Reward Gateway is dedicated to our mission of making the world a better place to work and I’m incredibly fortunate that I’ve been able to develop a leadership and management team that can really take the business forward independently.

“I’m hugely excited about my new role which will allow me to focus on our mission, employee engagement training internally and acting as coach and mentor to Doug and the leadership team. Doug loves Reward Gateway, understands the power of our culture, and I know he will be an exceptional leader to what is an exceptional team.”

Butler will be taking up the role of CEO on 6th September and will split his time primarily between the UK, US and Australia. Please see rg.co/ceoannouncement for more information.
