LONDON, 16 November 2026 – Reward Gateway | Edenred, a global leader in employee engagement and HR technology, has announced the launch of Engage, a new mobile-first app within EngagementOS designed to make it easier for employees to access and use their workplace benefits, recognition, wellbeing and communications.
The launch comes as Reward Gateway | Edenred’s proprietary analysis of nearly 1,700 UK organisations found that employees generated £336 million in savings in the last year through their employee programmes1.
Employers provide a growing range of benefits and engagement programmes to support their people. However, the employee experience can be fragmented, with services spread across different platforms, difficult to find or inaccessible to some workers. This can limit employee participation and the value employees and employers receive from those programmes.
Engage has been designed to address these barriers by bringing discounts, recognition, wellbeing support and company communications together in a single mobile-first experience within EngagementOS.
The app introduces new functionality designed to make programmes easier to navigate and encourage more regular participation:
- Goals & Challenges enables employees to set personal goals and take part in team challenges linked to areas including wellbeing and recognition, providing organisations with another way to encourage participation in engagement initiatives.
- An AI-powered assistant helps employees navigate their programme and find relevant information across benefits, savings, wellbeing resources, company communications and support content, providing direct links to relevant information.
- The new AI Recognition Coach is designed to make recognition easier by helping employees create meaningful recognition messages more quickly.
Engage also introduces in-app registration, allowing employees to activate their account directly from their mobile phone. This expands access for frontline and deskless employees, including colleagues without a work email address, who can access their full programme from their phone. Multi-factor authentication provides an additional layer of account security.
Together, the changes are designed to reduce friction in the employee experience, increase access to workplace programmes and support more frequent employee participation.
Joe Walsh, Managing Director UK at Reward Gateway | Edenred, said:
“The best employee benefit in the world has zero value if nobody uses it. Businesses already invest significantly in benefits, recognition, wellbeing and communications, but if it’s not easily accessible then it risks going unnoticed by employees.
“Our own data demonstrates the value that employee benefits create for businesses. Employees across nearly 1,700 UK organisations generated £336 million in savings in the last year alone. That’s real, measurable value reaching people’s pockets.
“Engage is designed to help make it easier for people to find, access and use what is already available to them. It brings benefits, recognition, wellbeing and communications together in one mobile experience, while using AI and Goals & Challenges to make it easier for people to find what they need and participate more regularly.
“Ultimately, access drives usage, usage drives engagement, and engagement drives value. That’s what Engage is built to deliver.”
