The Edinburgh-based company, which provides integrated hospitality management solutions to retail and leisure firms, has unveiled brand new shopping discounts for its employees.
Zonal Retail Data Systems was looking for ways to stay ahead of the competition and attract and retain the top talent as it continues on its ambitious growth journey. Zonal had identified that benefits were a great way of amplifying employer cash and giving its staff extra, whilst making sure it was getting the most out of any investment in this area.
Current benefits were difficult for employees to access, meaning that both the business and its employees were not getting the best value from the incentives.

Zonal Retail Data Systems is the UK's No. 1 supplier of integrated hospitality management solutions to over 8,000 leisure and hospitality businesses, such as pubs/bars, restaurants and hotels across the UK. Its innovative systems include EPoS, kitchen management, purchase to pay, stock management and guest management.
The company has over 400 staff nationally with a head office in Edinburgh.
The business wanted to create a benefits and reward programme that could be enjoyed by everyone, from those working on the help desk, research and development to field-based staff. The benefits needed to cover everything from socialising to DIY and include benefits which could be extended to the whole family.
What’s the programme?
Zonal is working with employee engagement leader Reward Gateway to launch its SmartHub® platform, which puts HR in control. Through the hub, employees will have access to a vast array of shopping discounts, existing benefits like holiday trading and improved communications, all via one single login.
