Thea Fineran, Head of People at Treatwell, an online booking platform for the hair and beauty industry, was in her role for just six months when she and her organisation started looking at the benefits provision.
Finniwan was hearing feedback across the business that Treatwell was under par and under market in terms of our benefits provision, which led to a sense of urgency in changing their benefits program to something that felt real and tangible.
It was clear that the company needed to build business strategy around what the benefits provision was going to be in the upcoming year, but with a limited budget, the priority emerged as making their employees' salaries go further.
To accomplish their goals, the organisation decided to roll out a benefits platform that would provide great savings for their employees through instant vouchers, Reloadable Cards and cashback. Currently, the organisation's UK and Ireland markets use the platform and have access to the discount platform in addition to a Cycle to Work scheme, Childcare Vouchers and an employee wellbeing solution, so employees are saving money in numerous areas of their lives.
In terms of results, the organisation has had over 80% take-up to the program within the first few weeks of launch with about 50 products per month bought by Treatwellers.
And that's on an employee base of 160, so there's a large percentage, bringing in savings of 8% on an average product.
Since implementing the program, the team, the staff has been really excited as the benefits are one of the first they've been introduced to. The organisation plans to introduce more ways to engage their employees through the addition of recognition to their platform in the coming year.
